Poker has become world celebrated as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years many variants on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the casino rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no concealment or different kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the croupier declares "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course every one of the other players are given five cards. After you have observed your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you must in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s value is akin to your beginning wager, which means that the risks will have doubled. Surrendering means that your wager goes instantly to the dealer. After the wager is the face off. If the bank does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, including an amount on par with the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The bank pony’s up money even with your ante and set odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
