Web poker has become globally acclaimed recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its television scores. Over the years several variations on the earliest poker game have been created, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling 21 than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the casino rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or different kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the dealer declares "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the bank and of course every one of the different players receive 5 cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you must in turn make a call bet or give up. The call bet’s value is akin to your original wager, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Giving Up means that your ante goes instantaneously to the casino. After the bet comes the conclusion. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, with a sum in accordance with the ante. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The casino pays out chips even with your ante and set odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
